How it Started
In 1972, a parent group interested in having residential, social and vocational options for their children with intellectual disabilities in their own communities banded together to form Valley Action Abilities. Calling Rosthern home, we have grown over the years to expand our services to support those with mental health issues, refugees, the underemployed and many others.
Led by those who care
As a disability service and non-profit organization, we operate under the direction of a board of local volunteer directors who are professionals, family members and interested community members. This group determines our organizational direction and sets policy to guide operations.
