Valley Action Abilities operates three group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities,
Fifth Avenue Home , Wheatland Court, and First Avenue.
Our residents have fun living with their friends in our group homes. The homes are located within the town of Rosthern, and residents are within easy walking distance of most of the town's amenities and businesses. We also access local transit to get to events that are farther away. The homes are licenced as "Approved Homes" through the Community Living Services Division (CLSD) of Saskatchewan Social Services. The homes are open to residents who require significant physical or behavioral supports. The homes are community based (not institutions) and staffed with trained caregivers who prepare meals, clean the home, provide physical assistance, and help to keep the residents active in the community.
If you are thinking about applying to Valley Action you should call 306.232.4879 and request a tour and meeting with Valley Action's Executive Director. This will help you understand the options available, how application is made, and what it means to be on Valley Action's waiting list.
